The documentary "Fallen Angel: Cover-up of SEAL Team Six Shoot-down" is an adaptation of Don Brown's non-fiction investigative book, "Call Sign Extortion 17: The Shoot-Down of SEAL Team Six."
Don Brown is a former U.S. Navy JAG Officer, stationed at the Pentagon, and an author of ten published novels, and is perhaps best known for his bestselling novel, Treason. Brown studied at the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, earning the Navy's nonresident certificate in International Law. As an action officer at the Pentagon in 1992, Brown drafted legal memoranda for the Secretary of the Navy, and was published in the US Navy Law Review, drafting a law review article instructing United States Military Lawyers on defending against temporary injunctions filed against the military. While serving as a U.S. Navy JAG officer, Brown was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of California.
After leaving active duty, Brown penned the Navy Justice Series: including the military action-thrillers Treason (2005), Hostage (2005), Defiance (2006), and Black Sea Affair (2008).His other works include Malacca Conspiracy (2010), Thunder in the Morning Calm (2011), and Fire of the Raging Dragon (2012). Many of these works raised concerns of radical Islamic infiltration in U.S. military ,and some have said this his novel TREASON, released in 2005, later “predicted” the Fort Hood terror attacks.
CALL SIGN EXTORTION 17: The Shoot-Down of SEAL Team Six, was released in 2015 and is a non-fiction exposé about the shoot-down in Afghanistan of a CH-47D Chinook helicopter where 30 Americans lost their lives including 17 U.S. Navy SEALs, most of whom were members of United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group more commonly known as SEAL Team Six.
In this non-fiction exposé examining the shoot-down of the SEAL team, Brown utilized evidentiary analysis to investigate the shoot-down of Extortion 17 through the perspective of a navel adjudicator. Brown analyzed physical, ballistic, and forensic evidence, autopsy reports, eyewitness testimony and called upon experts in various fields of science and medicine. Brown's closing argument is that the government has sold a false narrative that "No one was at fault" to the public and that the government has orchestrated a cover-up to mask the truth of what really happened - a cover-up which, he concludes, is of massive proportions. As will be seen below, CALL SIGN EXTORTION 17: The Shoot-Down of SEAL Team Six, has been endorsed by Sean Hannity and many others.
